You could have gone on ebay and got a regualator and motor. The same thing happened to mine but it goes up eventually you just have to pull it up with your hand or try to keep hitting the button. I got one off ebay for like 60 bucks and had it installed which cost a lot more but it works now but its loud for some reason.
