Help with breaks

Hello i was going home then i noticed a grinding sound on my front right side brakes.. so i got home parked and checked the front right brakes and the pads where gone.. but the front left brake pad was not even close to half wats wrong with my front right brake? somthing wrong with my brake lines? any info? pls.. before i go to a auto shop.. thank you in advance :D

the shop tht did the install last might have overtighten it, thus the unbalanced wear...

Or they could have only replaced one side. I've seen that done before. The piston could be cocked on the side that is wearing to fast and causing the pad to rub all the time therefore significantly shortening it's life.

i would love to do it my self but brakes are important so ima let a pro do it.. thanks for the replies wanted to make sure i had options but since i saw them change both they had to clean my calipers cuz it was building up crystals on the pads..? thats was on 03/04/06 so iuno wut else but ima keep yall updated on wat really happen thanks again u guys are always a big help..

Or, it can be a problem with the piston not going back in the caliper when the brakes are released.

Did you notice any acess brake dust on that side, or was the car pulling to one side?
Get a new set of pads and try it again.
