Wanted to ask you experts out there
I'm about to get a used set of XXR 522 Gold 17x9+35
to replace my stocks on a V6 Sedan
The tire specs are 215/45/17 and I researched the stocks to be 205/60/15
Would I have any trouble fitting these? Thanks!

P.S everything on the car is stock (Suspension,Wheels)

You can run 205/40-17 if you plan on super tucking but 215/45-17 is your ideal size for proper tire size.

Check my old accord pictures. I had 215/45-17 on 17x9 +38 also.

Lower the car

It's going to look soooo bad if you don't

yeah, really. sad part is you probably won't realize this until after you've already bought wheels and decide to lower the car at a later time, then look back on pictures when you had 17" aftermarket wheels on stock suspension :ugh: even more so with wheels that wide and with that low of an offset :ugh: :ugh: if you've ever heard the term 'mexipoke', how your car will look would be the definition of that.

Would it be a bad idea to particularly buy a cheap lowering spring from ebay
instead of a full coilover system?
I'm not trying to improve performance or handling, just looks. As long as the ride is okay.
And being a student and all, I don't have the greatest cashflow..

Nope, don't cheap out unless you don't care about having something go terribly wrong and have your suspension cause you to have a car crash.

yeah, cheap suspension is usually garbage. you can get drop springs, but with the wheels you want, to really pull off the look they're for, you need at least coilovers so you can set the cars height right. if you're just after looks and on a budget...and you really don't want to buy a suspension, some nice looking 17x7 wheels would really work well for you. the wide wheel with a stretched tire look (a 9" width with a 215 tire) is really for a stanced look, and while it's a nice look when pulled off well, it doesn't sound like you want to spend the kind of money involved in achieving that look. the whole point of stretching tires is so that they'll clear you fenders when you lower the car.
