I have mine attached underneath the headlights.

Passenger side, bare metal on the inside.
Driver side, windshield washer fluid tank.

My Philips ballasts don't have holes to put screws into, so I had no choice but to cover the back completely with heavy duty double-sided tape.

i tucked my phillips ballast under the headlight. It fits very snug and perfect

i have my ballasts tuck in between my headlights and the engine bay and its covered by a sandwich baggy.

lol my ballasts are at the same exact spot as mikes. one next to the windshield washer fluid and the other where the resonator used to be. ive had my hid's for 5 months and its still good.

i got mines mounted under the headlight. not the headlight assembly, more so on the body. i tried to keep mines as clean as possible.
