hid kit

Hey everybody,
I just recently bought some hid kits (factory mercedes m series) d2s bulbs for a cheap price ($60). i hooked it up and everything works fine. Im not sure what color temp they are, Im assuming 6000K because they are really white.
I have 2 8000k 9006 bulbs that I would rather use. Is there a way to bypass the d2s to the 9006 bulbs?
I will take pictures if that would help...

if the bulbs are stock, they are 4100k or 4300k. there are adapters for d2s to 9006, but you cant use 9006 in a d2s projector.

short answer: no.

ill refrain from the comment i should make, but most people know how i feel already

can the plugs and if they don't match you can dremel some of the connector and make it fit

Yeah keep the OEM bulb. But can't you just do some splicing to make it work?

umm.. i wasnt trying to make a 9006 bulb fit into a d2s projector.. lol
let me clarify myself a little more.
i wanted to do a diy version of the adapter without having to buy the adapter... lol
I have a d2s ballast, not projector; but I want to use my 9006 because the i dont like how the d2s lightbulb fits into my headlights..

lol you should have specified that...im ok at mind reading but not 100%.

short of the long: splicing ballasts may be risky. i wouldnt do it, and i'm pretty much fearless.

anything over 6k is weak...my halogens are brighter. i dont care about looks...mine are brighter than 8k i guess i dont get it

agreed 6k all the way. i have 2 kits for both hi and low. im thinking of throwing another kit when i decide to throw some fogs.anything more than 6k u lose luminosity. i rather have bright lights so i can see than those annoying colors.

lol... oh boy. i was simply asking for my personal likes. i wasnt looking for a debate. i checked my bulb and it was a 4100K; way too low for me. I find that my 8000K was perfect for me. It wasnt too blue, and wasnt too white.
Thanks though. Ill just go look for an adapter.
