Yes you can buy the adaptor, splicing the wire works too but connection at times may not be as strong. If you do decide to splice it, please buy a wire solder. I have done it before and it worked fine, you can always put it back the way it was.

^^ yeah, it can be done...but it's not the usual 12V passing through...its 25000V. its gotta be done right, the first time
