Thanks for all the help guys. One final question, do you really need the projector headlight lenses, or can you use the original reflectors with an HID convesion kit and still have a noticable improvment? I'm pretty sure you need the projector headlights, but for the sake of saving money if they're not needed, I would rather not get them, and save my money for something else. Again, thanks for all the help.

you really should do a retrofit or use TYC's, BUT you dont exactally need to. i have my HID kit in my stock headlight. alot of people will say the only way to do it is with a projector blah blah blah, but honestly, you can do it right with reflector housings....just make sure you re-aim your headlights and point them a little bit down so you dont blind the sh!t out of people. thats what i did, havent gotten highbeamed once. as far as output, yea, i notice a difference, certainly nothing as good as a projector would do, but def better then stock halogens.

Would JDM lights fit? They look to be a similar size/shape and they come with HID lights.

nah, they dont fit, the curves and overall shape of the light doesnt fit, and youd have to make a couple body mods for them to bolt up and stuff. itd be nice if they could just bolt right in, i wouldve had these a year and 1/2 ago, haha.

Has anyone ever used a Genesis HID conversion kit. I think that's the one I'm going to go for, but if anyone has had issues with it, then of course I wont get it.

Since I have to add this, once you do this conversion with the TYC and HID "KIT" switch over, it still isn't considered a retrofit, so you cant be in the retrofit club since everyone wants to be :D :D lol

I crack myself up, good luck on the project, hope everything turns out as well as you hoped ;)
