ive always engaged the ebrake though when i parked, in every car ive had. 2 of which were autos.

Me too. 1st gear and E-brake, or Reverse and E brake, depending on where you are. Car will never (almost) roll away. Even in my dad's f-150 auto, the "P" just seems too loose, E-brake works better.

i always set the ebrake even though im auto. i read somewhere that when you put your auto in park and it rocks that little bit it puts a lot of stress on the transmission
