I paint matched my covers, you should be able to find the code on the inside of your door, where the safety stickers are. usually it is more expensive to paint match, i spent 25 for my paint :/

This might have some useful info:

And this (last post may be an idea):
http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18250&highlight=satin+silver+paint+match

Read pages 2-4 (a few suggestions for SSM):

Even if none of those are perfect matches, it won’t be easy to tell since you’re not painting a part of the car. It will be hard to see a difference between your car and the engine covers.

Personally I would just go to a Sherwin Williams auto paint center and have them make it up for you.

Sherwin Williams will be your best option if you really want the paint to be as close as possible to the SSM.

Since it's that important, spend a little extra so you will be happy with the results.

No base paint is need, just sand, prime, sand, paint, sand(as needed) paint, maybe sand/paint again, clear and maybe clear again. :lawl:

Check out any paint that says "Silver Metallic"

"Buy a can and return it :hide:" and check out duplicolor for paint code, NH623M.

And now after reading those threads, I'm going to just go with Silver Metallic since like you said, it's not part of the car. Close enough on the silver will be good enough for me on this project.

Oh, and also after reading that last thread, I'm thinking of painting the Honda emblem on my trunk matte black as well :)

You don't have a front emblem, Johnny?

If so, they need to match.

Front emblem I do have. But I don't want the front to be black on black. I'm one who likes contrast and the rear emblem painted black on a silver background is lots of contrast and the front emblem already surrounded by black - albeit a different a different black - will have very little contrast.
