alright so I'm going prokit! any super cheap places to find em would be cool. Just to clarify, I'm not buying these strictly for lowering, I'll get a good bit more control especially with my progress 24mm sway which is on the way, right? :hihi:

my car's probably lowered around 2" maybe a tad more. I've driven my car all the way up to northern MI around Alpena to my grandma's place. she has a 1.5 mile gravel driveway that isn't maintained by the state. I've also gone camping plenty of times in my car on gravel roads that weren't maintained, some of them pretty bad. and on a few of my random 3 hour drives around the area I've come across what I swear had to have been mild 4x4 trails lol and didn't have much trouble getting over it.

IMO, a lot of it just depends on how well you can adapt to a new driving style. if you're lowered and find yourself on really ****ty roads or really steep driveways, sometimes there's nothing you can do but scrape. Most of the time, though, you can avoid problems by taking it a bit slower and learning what angles to approach things at to give you the most ground clearance. for example, if you come across a dirt/gravel road with big ruts worn into it, hug one side of it like none other so that your left tire tire is riding in between where most people would drive, and your other tire is hugging the shoulder

or you could just get airbags :lolrun:

okay so I've searched around and it seems to be that there's alot that could go wrong with a diy install :p haha well not really, I"m just paranoid. I searched some forums and someone says that you replace the upper strut mount when installing springs? Or is this just for maintenance oem repair? I also see that I'm going to need to "buy" a spring compressor from autozone, so we'll see how that goes

be like it is
autozone loans you tools (not rent) and you just have to put down a deposit and return it within like 45 days to get your money back.

if you dont want to do it yourself, pay someone to do it for you...

just finished my drop on stechs and I knew absolutely nothing about suspension before. I was paranoid about doin mine myself and it turned out fine. Just make sure you have all the right tools otherwise you'll spend 4 hours tryin to get one bolt off like I did:lolhitting:

I also go visit my girl and she lives on a dirt road with a doozy of a drive (its steep). I know this rant seems pointless, but I just am pining for a drop when I can't have one lol. I know it sounds like I should get a more offroad vehicle, but I'm too enamored with my accord to switch. Plus I much prefer cars to trucks or SUVs.

OT but good use of vocabulary, seriously.
