ok so ive done some research on the jdm accord bloodline and to say the least im a bit confused. As far as i can tell the accord sort of split into the accord, tsx, and inspire..... sort of. Any who i know theres no direct 6th gen in japan like ours but i was on the japanese honda site lastnight and it looks like there inspire is our 7th gen so would you say that the 6th gen is close enough to the inspire that i could swap badges and not be a homosexual? yes it all comes down to rice, i love the way that badge would look on my rear end  but i dont wanna get flamed for it all the time. So watchu guys think? http://www.heeltoeauto.com/Honda-Ge...ire-Rear-Inspire-Emblem-JDM-Long-pr-2350.html

i think it's your car and you badge it the way you want to.
i have a Euro-R badge and my friend Andryck has a Type-R badge.
we get lightly flamed but no big deal. i don't give a flying crap what people say because in the end of the day it's my car.

so, my opinion. go slap on all the emblems you want to a tasteful degree. i saw some dude in my complex with Honda Accord Inspire EX and an Acura logo. it was a 3rd gen accod, nasty looking. that was not tasteful.

The current Honda Inspire is indeed the 7th Gen USDM Accord, the Honda Inspire model that came before that was known as the 2nd Gen Acura TL in North America (UA5, '98 to '02 or something like that). That one was also known as the Honda Saber in Japan.

The nameplate would be a bit more at home on an older Acura TL, but if you really want to put it on your car, no one's stopping you ;) .

im confused about the 98-02 inspire. the "usdm version" was the tl and the jdm version was the saber? so there was no real inspire for those years?

So Cal
u could always just put on the "inspire" badge and cut off the "D" from the "ACCORD" badge n say u were "INSPIRED" hahah. u can also get the ACCORD INSPIRE badge too.

but personally... i dont see anything wrong with putting the inspire badge on ur 6th gen.

well all you guys are rather open minded and supportive which is cool but i want to have a valid reason/ argument for having it ya know? I know my inner self is a complete ricer so i have to know when to say no to an idea. I always ask my friend at work but hes a civic guy he doesnt know the accords so well so hes no help and i dont wanna put it on honda-tech cause they know there **** but there so anti-rice that they tend to be very close minded. So i guess what i need to know is there any link to the 6thgen coupe and the inspire?

It was branded as two separate cars, only slightly different from each other. Kind of like the Accord and the Torneo. In any case, it's built on the exact same platform as our 6th gens, and a lot of our parts are interchangeable.
