How do I change spark plugs?????

Hey guys, got a set of NGK iridium, and want to swap em out, how do I go about this? Is there special spacing or anything involved? I dont know how to do it. Thanks!

get the ones that are specific to your vehicle unless you want to gap them yourself then do research on what gap you want. if your asking this question im assuming you dont have some special setup. get a spark plug socket (theres a rubber grommet inside) that is made to hold the sparkplug without it fallin out. remove the spark plug boot from on top of the valve cover not the distributor cap. remove spark old sparks. install new ones in with reverse directions :driving:

I have the right ones for my car, what does the gap help with, or is it needed?

Usually they're pregapped for you, so I doubt he'll have to do that.

dont forget any nessasary lube u will need, they usually have it at the counter of any auto parts place, and if u got ngk irridium (i do as well) they should come pregapped for you, dont mess with it

almost forgot. dont forget to check that when you pull the plugs off of the spark plugs the lil tip didnt come off inside the boot. its happened to me before. not on this car but one of my trucks. but def use the lube

Is there a certain amount to torque it down, or just snug it up? BTW thanks for all the help fellas

if your doing routine maintence like a tune up you should replace the dizzy cap and rotor as well
