hybrid intake? cold air intake?

whats the difference between a hybrid intake and a cold air intake?

which one is worth gettin for a '99 4cyl sedan?

hm.. the hybrid is a 3 inch pipe i think with a k&n filter in ur oem box. it doesnt make as much noise as a cai but does the same sh-t. a cai has a 3 inch pipe also or close to it and the filter is all the way down in ur bumper. it might get u 1-2 more hp and thats about it. both is good. depends wut u want. if u want clean look or bling look. i personally would chose a cai tho lol. i like noises haha

I'd consider the hybrid over the CAI or SRI. Two of the main reasons being a lot less chance of hydro locking & less heat soak due to the filter still being protected by the OEM air box. Not to mention if you remove the stock resonator under the bumper, you pretty much have a fully functional CAI for a 1/4 of the price w/ the sound.

BTW, if you wanting an intake just for the sound of it... well then you don't really need one.

i am going to do the hybrid intake this week end ,i have had the CAI and SRI ,i have put back the stock intake already a while ago, i personaly this the hybrid is much more usfull and safe and it will be like and ice box like darryl said
