be like it is
There is no better sounding box, it just depends on what kind of response your looking for from your subwoofer. If you like rap music with long bass tones than a ported or bandpass enclosure is probly your best bet. but i mostly lesson to rock so i like the punch and response of a sealed enclosure. those who see it at the meet will agree it sounds incredible.
the superior "box" is infinite baffle :lawl:

but again, if one can't make a vented box sound good with, say, rock...one should stick with a hard-to-make-wrong sealed box.
I am surprised by this comment. I have had great success, borat. lol with these power bass subs. There quality is great and there pricing is very accurate. This is PB12 M series which is 350rms and 750 max im running an old school orion 2150sx at 300 rms and it sounds fantastic.
lots of average subs sound good till you hear a truly amazing one :lawl:

plus, sub-80Hz distortion is pleasing to 98% of the population...

but in the end, i commend you for going the custom route instead of just a cube in the trunk. well, as long as everything is fastened securely to the car :icon_axe:

agreed that distortion levels is what can make or break any good or bad subwoofer. and thanks for the complements. I have actually build ported enclosures before. I had one in my accord with 2 orion 12's sounded good but the box was massive and i didnt want a massive heavy box again weighing me down. so yea i took the easy way out and made a sealed enclosure, but i couldnt be happier.

i like my cube in my trunk with both amps screwed to the back, and not strapped at all. box is heavy enough as is, :lawl:

well, i do have some boards to keep it from sliding back, g-hetto
