That I am going to have to lower my car because it looks so damn sexy even on stock wheels.

This is of course after I packed the majority of my stuff into my car to drive home from school. I like the look.

2 finger gap in the rear...

Equates to a 4, nearly 5 finger gap up front.

Now I just need someone hefty up front to make the front come down a little :p

yes. all i can say is yes.
Yea Kev, I wanna do it, I just need to find the right spring/shock combo (read: inexpensive but still give a good drop). Something like what you have:

Brand & model: Tein S.Tech Springs
Price paid and from where: $155 - HighPerformanceOutlet.com
Pros: Inexpensive, Ride is very compliant, Doesn't have a bad "boat-look" like some other spring setups
Cons: Doesn't drop you that low
Final verdict:SEE BELOW

Brand & model: Tokico HP struts
Price paid and from where: $237 - eBay seller
Pros: Inexpensive, great for pairing with moderate lowering springs, Dampening is very good
Cons: No adjustability, the Illuminas can be had for a bit more money
Final verdict:SEE BELOW

FINAL VERDICT: I think this is a great spring/shock combo for those who don't need any adjustabily of coilovers and don't plan on slamming their car. The ride is really good, and it handles bumps so smoothly, yet provides a nice sporty feel and is SO much better in the twisties than stock.

I give it an A-. Only because I wish I could go lower sometimes. THIS SETUP GAVE ME ~2" DROP. Meaning yeah, I kinda wish I went with coilovers. But these are still a very nice setup for those who wanna get a good stance on their accord for cheap!!

You think that will get me as low on my I4 sedan?

Good. So now I just have to wait on a good deal or a part out thread (modding on a college budget ftl). One question. Let's say I was already lowered to a two finger gap all around, and I packed my car full like above (or I have 5 people in the car). Would that be a problem in terms of clearance in the wheel well or any scraping in the rear (I realize on stock wheels probably not, but I'm thinking in the future when I upgrade wheels/tires to a 17/18" combo)?

Coilovers would be ideal I know cuz I could raise them up in this situation (is it hard to adjust coilovers on the fly?). I wish I could jump on redEYEjedi's deal, but I doubt that when I get some money that they'll still be available.

Honestly, you will never adjust your coilovers like that.....

It depends on the setup/brand as to how difficult it is to adjust them, but you still have to jack up the car, remove the wheel, do the adjustment, put the wheel back on, lower the car, and repeat 3 more times.

And unless you are slammed, it won't be too big of a deal with 4 passengers. You may rub over some bumps, but it just means you need to "drive slow homie" as Kanye would say, and take bumps smooth. no biggie.

And it all depends in the size, width, and offset of the wheels anyways. :)

Definitely do it. I fought it for a while, and honestly I never planned on doing it in the first place. But after seeing what a big difference even the most subtle drop can make...I just had to.

Buy used, good stuff goes up for sale on here all the time. Good luck! :usa:
