Just get the Granturismo Brembo bbk j/k. I would just get the drilled one from brembo and Axis pad.

yeah drilled and slotted are terrible they ate through my pads like no tomorrow. i went with some brembo blanks with some ceramic pads (wagner thermo quiet) hawk pads are soooo terrible the brake dust is absolutely terrible, but by far i think wagner thermo quiet are the best by far, i never have to wipe my rims off ever rarely , the hawk pads i was wiping them down every week

EBC and Hawk and two good companies for brake pads.

I really don't understand the reason behind some people who buy expensive rotors and believe that they will make the car stop better, its all in the pads. Any Cross-drilled rotors for a Honda are nothing more than a jobber rotor that gets holes drilled in it AFTER. This is the reason why they crack even under light use, yet alone when combined with a performance pad.

BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, etc.. all these rotors are made WITH the holes in the casting.

If your going to spend 300$ on your brakes, buy some jobber rotors, 100$ on Pads (Hawk HP+ are no more than 100$), and 100$ on Stainless Lines.

This will do a LOT more than spending a ton of money on a rotor that is just going to get destroyed after a year of being beaten on by a pad such as the HP+.

One thing about the HP+ though... they don't like the cold. If you live anywhere that gets close to freezing temp, I would recommend swaping out your pads to HPS during the winter months.

Enjoy your braking :)

slotted rotors help prevent pad glazing.

drilled is dumb... afaik it was originally to cut down on rotational weight on cars with braking power to spare

Yes, Slotted rotors prevent pad glazing by scubbing the pads as they move over the slot.

The thing you need to remember though is that glazing happens when the pad OVERHEATS... due to excessive use... like doing a lot of hard driving with normal pads, which have a very low operating temperature.

A performance pad has a lot higher temperature range, therefore there is a highly less likely chance that you will EVER get pad glaze even if you do the odd lapping session / autoX. Depending on the pad, you will probably get fluid fade before you get pad fade... at least in my situation it was.

:)

I live in Miami, no problems with freezing here.

I don't track the car, so excessive heat for prolonged periods won't be a problem either.

I'm just looking for a slight upgrade over stock for someone who likes to drive 'spirited' on occasion.

Looking like the Brembo blanks and HPS, I just gotta call my buddy and see what he's got at the shop for my car.

I think that's a good setup Ray. The HPS only offer a small gain in performance though, which is kinda sad. But they work better than OEM, and are cheaper than OEM (I paid around $55 shipped for the fronts).

Dust isn't horrible either, when I wash my car the rears almost always have more dust and they're drums...

I have EBC ultimax slotted rotors with Akebono Pro-Act Ceramic pads. Akebono makes some of the best-rated pads on the market. Absolutely no brake dust and so quiet. If I could do it again though, I'd prob get some Rotora slotted rotors, because I think they look nicer, but I'm saving up for a BBK anyway at some point, so no need for me to replace my brakes again till then.

www.getcheapbrakes.com is where I got my brakes haha... sounds sketchy I know, but they delivered them soooo fast, and it cost me only $375 for pads and rotors. I should prob get some SS lines soon. the company isn't even around anymore though. lol

The best set up I would recommend is:
EBC or hawk pads
Brembo Blanks Or Brembo Slotted

Others maybe questionable.

HOWEVER
for some time I had Drilled/slotted rotors on the rear
and every now and then I would check them for cracking.
Fortunately I never had that problem.
Probably because they were on the rear and never saw any real hard braking
