1998 Honda Accord LX || 5-Speed M/T || CAI || 185k Miles || 21.4 MPG

I don't know if this is normal but I get about 300 miles off a full tank of gas. Or maybe my car's playing tricks on me, when I fill up it's about 14 gallons or so. What's the fuel tank capacity on our 6GA's? I read online that's it's roughly 17.1 US Gallons, is that true? Right now with my beliefs I'm getting about 21.4 MPG's respecitvely. If theres an extra 3 Gallons sitting in my tank i'll be ecstatic. Also, what are ways to improve MPG's? Thanks:peace:

Drive slow, don't go over 2.3k rpm in city, 65mph freeway, basic tune up (spark plugs, clean egr, ivac, and etc, tire pressures are correct, don't install any aftermarket intake header or exhaust.

Unload any heavy items in your trunk, and the spare tire as well. Avoid down-shifting as much as possible, too.

damn 300 off a tank? im getting roughly around 350 +, sometimes or close to 400 on a full tank and yes it does fill up to 17 gallons, trust me, lol but with gas in so cal being so high it hurts the wallet everytime to fill up. oh and i have a short air intake and a exhaust on it but with a messed up egr valve according to the CEL but a tune up should help!

i usually fill up 17 gallons and get about 430-450 miles

then again, i have tons of crap in my trunk + 18" rims

if i were u, i'd seafoam the car, then change out the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor as well as the spark plug wires

and check your tire pressure too

What the .. Are you guys serious ?? By the time my needle gets down to E I go to fill up, and I only am able to fit ~14 gallons .. does that mean my needle will go far past E ? Come to think of it, when I fill up, it never goes past the F line .. nor does it ever touch the F line ..
