I don't want to make another i4 vs v6 thread since theres so many... but i was just wondering anyway how much slower is the i4 manual than a v6 auto and a v6 manual maybe. ppl always say theres not much of a difference between them but no ones ever shot out any numbers.. i tried searching but cant find em :-/

edit: oh and this is unrelated but can i just drop a k&n cone on my stock intake pipe when i take out the airbox and rest of the stuff

I heard of ppl swapping to CL manual tranny on V6's but is not a common thing like the I4 swapping to manual. I also heard that you have to make some little mods to take a V6 auto I don't think its just a matter of swapping and that's it. I could be wrong thogh I'm not an expert in this matter.

The I4 5-speed is faster than the V6 auto. It'll keep up till about ~80 mph and then start to pull.

Could you help me to understand this cuz I'm a bit confused.

The I4 has less HP and torque than the V6 right?
Why the V6 would loose power at 80 MPH? because of the transmision?
How abt if you leave it in D3 until it reaches red line since the D4 sucks at high speed. I'm asking you this because I've ride in AV6's and they have way more power than the I4 auto. I've never ride on a 5 spd Accord though.:D

5 speed accords are faster then the v6s untill higher up when the v6's start to gain/pull away from the 4 banger 5 speed. this is due to the fact that the 5 speed has better gearing, another gear, and is lighter.

backwards. v6 should start pulling higher up.

(sonnick vs me) @ rutgers he got me by like 2 1/2 cars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rry_Y_ZowjA

but it was a short parking lot, i was gaining ground @ the end. a few months ago we were on the highway and he pulled on me, and then i started to gain distance and we went into a turn, he doesnt have suspension so he had to let off..
