I would love to owen a CHarget SRT-8.
I saw one earlier today that looked/sound amazing.

425hp/420ft, lbs of torque is not bad for only $32K

You will not find another car under $80,000 that gives the factory performance of the z06 I garauntee it. Simply the best bang for the buck when it comes to high performance factory cars.

2007 Shelby GT 500 (500hp) Retail $40K

From a personal standpoint, the 300C is nuce, but not sporty enough for me. And as a certain rapper put it (Who's name I won't mention) THe Chrysler 300 is for people who wish they could geta phantom...LOL

The z06 will murder that new mustang Cobra lol..the previous z06 murdered the last Cobra..hell it's already been proven in MotorTrend I believe..they stuck the z06 up against aftermarket tuned cars (hennesy viper, etc..) they had a 500hp+ (I believe) tuned new mustang in it and the stock z06 killed it.

WTF....R U crazy...LOL

First, SVT cars are no longer in production. That's one reason why they produced the SHELBY GT500

2nd, I have yet to see a comparison with the new Z06 and the new GT500.
I've seen the comparison with the Z06 and a Mach 1, when the Z06 was introduced, but not with the GT500. Maybe that's an edition of Motortrend that I missed, I don't know

3rd, I have the magazine of SVT Cobra vs the previous vette. They were both convertibles and the Cobra came out on top. I'll get's some scans of the results tonight.

But if there was a comparison between the current Z06 and the Shelby GT500, I think it would be pretty close on who ever comes out on top and not a landslide score.

I know SVT's are no longer in production..I have the new brochure for the gt500..it waqs intended to be called "Cobra"..but last minute changes they went with shelby to further compliment the older fast back body style. Second there is no comparison to the Mach1 vs. z06 lol just none. The z06 is an overall better car than the new gt500. The z06 is bascially a factory race ready car. The gt500 isn't.

My friend has a c6, has wrecked it... Cant say its the most reliable car either. Personally with the weigh distribution of 48 - 52 (dont quote me on that, but its close) I still dont like them. Try a 2001 - 03 turbo, and you'll find out quickly which one you would rather own. Everyone and their grandma has a corvette. And I dont think that I've driven one day without seeing one.

Personally I dont like any car that is made by an American company. Its a waste of money, waste of time. The only good engineers are in the foreign lands of Germany and Japan. When was the last time that GM, Ford, or Chrysler made a good car? Or, even a reliable car? If you can answer that, then I'll give you a million bucks.

I don't know about the cars... but GM makes some VERY reliable trucks..... and I'd rather have a full size Chevy or Ford than any other truck out there...
