Does anyone have any personal experience with the Espelir JGT500R Catback Exhaust System, especially on our 6thGen 4-Cylinder Accords. I am considering their exhaust for my 2000 Honda Accord EX, F23A4, 5spd.

So far, I've researched and found they are a little loud, come with a silencer however, are 100% Japan made, 100% stainless steel, 100% street legal, full-catback exhaust system, Mandrel bend piping, bolt-on system, 60mm piping, 100mm tip. (sizing is for most models including 98'-02' Accords)

Here is a little info from a site about Espelir:

"GT racing is fierce competition that draws great support everywhere from the race fans to car manufacturers. Japanese top race drivers dream to participate in this professional racing series. ESPELIR has been participating in this racing series as a racing team. We innovate new technologies in order to win, then, apply these innovations and techniques into our JGT 500 exhaust. We will take you to the top of your class with our products.

We have succeeded in keeping the sound to a minimum, but have also retained a low, deep powerful signature sound. By controlling the exhaust flow, we have kept the internal exhaust resistance to a minimum which increases torque.

The exhaust system weight has been kept to a minimum and every application keeps a minimum ground clearance by utilizing a compact main muffler.

Our innovative exhaust silencer has a unique spring that eliminates sound vibration and potential damage to muffler internals.

The ESPELIR JGT 500 exhaust is a landmark composition in this industry. The best material - technology and performance learned from racing - real world results."

its an n1-style muffler...those dont look good on our cars, thats why no one answered :Smoker:

my advice: if you cant/dont know how to weld, take it to someone who can and put your muffler of choice at the end to keep the SS piping (that is...if its cheap)...

Thanks, but seems like a lot of trouble. I am in CA, and I can get it new picked up for $323. If it doesn't look good, ok. But any sort of workmanship input? Must look like sh*t then to have such low to zero responses on 3 forums. What exhaust r u running?

i have stock exhaust. if i were to get anything, it would be a simple cl-s muffler. most people here have magnaflow/apexi WS/greddy evo cat-backs...

other than not looking good that seems really cheap imo. Get what you pay for. I have HKS Super drager axle-back exhaust right now. plan on making if a full cat-back soon but right now it is quiet as hell. and idle you can't even tell i have it and while driving it's maybe 30-40 dbs, but that's on the stock piping. And it looks sick imo..lol. just check out the exhaust review thread

Thanks everyone. Checked the review thread. Just wanted something they could respond to quickly since good reviews take a bit of time. Anyone else?

I have the DC sports twin loop exhaust. It's harder to find now, but I honestly believe it's one of the best exhaust systems I have seen on a 6th gen. Had mine for over a year and no problems. Some slight rust on the flanges, but better than many I have seen. It's relatively quite compared to many, sounds amazing, and I felt a little more power in the upper rpm range, but dont expect too much out of a cat back alone ( I didn't look into if you were doing any other mods).

So far I am planning to AEM v2 CAI. Really what else is there for I4 as far as power? Header? I feel like I4's are limited in bolt-on's. Turbo kit? Kinda costly. At this point, just trying to make my DD more fun. I am in pursuit of better handling (btw there is a group buy going on v6 Performance.net for the Progress 24mm solid rear swaybar)

here is the link:

and a little more speed, but still smog legal as well as carb.

Thanks for the input.

Anyone else? Thanks.
