Sup 6GA,

I recently purchased an OEM Keyless Entry remote off Ebay and am having trouble programming it to the car.

I followed the programming instructions I found on 6GA and Google, but to no avail.

I'm thinking the remote itself can be faulty but the seller said it was tested before they shipped it to me and it was fully functional.

I have an 2002 EX Coupe with the factory Keyless entry system.

Any advice on what I should try next? Can the keyless remote itself be reset? Maybe its still programmed to another vehicle?

Thanks 6GA Guru's

It seems difficult but it's not.

Just "ON", "LOCK", "OFF" 3 times. Then on the 4th time dont turn the ignition off. You'll hear the locks cycle and then you have a few seconds to press the LOCK button on EACH remote. When you're done, turn the car off, remove the key and exit.

A lot of people forget that 4th "ON/LOCK" step or they do it a 4th time and turn the car off. You need to leave it in the "II" position until you're done programming each remote. Then you can turn it off.

Check the ID number on the back of the remote and make sure you bought the correct one.

Took me a few tries back when I did this. I think I used this...

Thanks for all the tips everyone. Tired countless times and couldnt get the keyfob to program.

Based off this handy diagram I found, Ive determined the remote I bought inst compatible with my 02 accord.

Does anyone need one before I return it?
