keyless remote question

so my remote finally broke. the thing that holds the battery on the board broke off from dropping my keys one too many times. i was able to solder it back together and it works but still isnt great. wasnt great before it broke either.

my question is if i try to program it like it was a new remote would i see better performance or should i just try to buy a new remote.

im not sure if the remote is the problem or the sensor in the car. wouldnt even know what to do about the sensor in the car

reprogramming your current remote will do nothing.
See if a fresh battery will help your signal, if that doesn't help maybe you can inspect the board and look for areas where the solder is weak and fix those.

i got my used ebay remote, and it works well. fixed my alarm problem too.
