Re: American Lemans, Laguna Seca photos

The corvettes were the only cars in the GT1 class this race and for most of this year. Everything else is in GT2, which is why chevrolet is thinking about going down to GT2 next year. Which means they are likely to scrap the GT1 class all together, which is a bummer because that is my favorite class.

I can also say that i am addicted, i wish i had the speed channel so i could get my fix. They used to race up here at Infineon Raceway but now i have to drive 3 hours to get down to Laguna Seca which thankfully isn't too long of a drive.

results for those interested.

Im adding "see the 24 hours of Le Mans" to my list of things to do before i die.

2009 American Le Mans at Long Beach CA

Alms - still amazing. line up was very small, 23 vehicles. fences and buildings were hard to shoot around.

Prodrive worked on it. Seems like they pulled it out of ALMS or have limited its outings.

Anyways Matt, the pictures from this year's event looks great considering the fact that it's a track hard to take pictures from. Just wish you had more to show us.

Love Laguna Seca, never been there though. But every time I pick up a new racing game that has this track I never have any problems lol.

I use to go to Mid Ohio every year, missed the last two. I miss when it was GTS-R vs. C5R vs. S7 in GTS, and Viper would handily whip the other two. Then the teams fell apart and Vette took over. Such great races to watch.

nice photos!
