Watch works fine, the three extra dials are for looks. It's not a true chrono.

Chris, a preamp gives power to a non powered mic. It gives it 48 volts of power. This one is a tube amp so it gives it a warm sound.

Oh okay, works like a tube amp then. I wonder if my Mesa might already have something like this built in.

So you plug the preamp into an outlet, and plug the mic into the preamp, and you're good to go? I would be using it to record music, not vocals...so not sure if it's suited for that. Or maybe that depends more on the mic.

Is the head pretty decent tone-wise and is it in good condition? I'm wanting to get a 5 or 6 pc drum kit eventually, would this be something you could use with any drum set? Or I guess snares are tunable so maybe that doesn't matter...

The shells are decent shells. The heads are probably 7/10. I can post pictures tonight. Don't knownhownmuch they'd be to ship
