OEM shocks weren't designed to work with lowering springs, never pair those two together.

What they said. I just bought Eibach 2" lowering springs and put them on my OEM shocks. Six months later my back shocks are blown and I've just ordered some coilovers. I should have my Eibachs off in less than two weeks if you're interested in buying them, but, honestly, with the money you'd need to buy springs and shocks you could just buy full coilovers.

The question is: do you want to get really low and have a stiffer ride or just decently lower and maintain ride quality?

Save yourself the money and go with coilovers. Let me share with you my story,

18 months ago spent $ on some Tanabe springs 1.4'F 1.1R and installed them on stock shocks. Although the ride was better the stiffer springs accelerated the
breakdown of the shocks. Now my car floats like a boat. In addition, the old saying is true, once you lower, you wanna go lower, so it's best to future proof your purchase.

Anyways, I just ordered some FF2 coilovers and can't wait till they arrive.

The same thing we have been saying for years.

If not at the very least get some Ground Control coils and aftermarket shocks.
