well, first off, you get what you pay for with suspension. if its cheap, it is usually crap.

with drop springs, or any drop really, you should upgrade the shocks as well because the stock ones are not meant to handle a lower height. and anything less than a 2" is really a waste of time and money...these cars are so high stock, a 2" drop still isnt much, but looks good when its on the car.

youre going to need shocks to go along with the springs. its the reason i havent lowered mine yet. rather than those ebay ones i would go for tein or eibach. you can get those new for around 200. im in college as well and know the feeling of having no money for the car lol

lol it sucks so bad being in college with no money we should have a members ride poor college students rides thread lol

If I were you, I'd try to find someone who can help with the install. It's really not very hard if you study the DIY's and you'll save a lot of money.

 or better yet... if you're a female that wants a drop, you could probably get a guy to do it for you haha

Yeah wouldnt think it would be so hard to install just the tools needed would cost extra money. lol yeah im trying to find guys who can do it for me but other then that one guy off craigslist said he can do it for $120 which i think isnt bad. Maybe he will lower it when he see im a girl lol :lawl:

i would like the whole suspension package just cause it seems more safe but drop wise i just want it a little lower so theres not such a huge awkard looking gap lol

dont cheap out on suspension man... its not worth risking your life over.

i've seen cheap ebay coils / springs rust from the inside out, and thats not pretty.

just fill you trunk with sandbags.

lol jk.... maybe you should wait until you have more funds to play with. i know how living on a college budget is :)

yeah, I'd def agree with just waiting a little while til you can afford a nice setup. I'm in college too, so I'm all about saving money, but when it comes to something as important as suspension, this is not somewhere you want to be cheap.

I saved for months and ended up going with full F2 Type I coils. They're the most expensive mod on my car to date, but I don't regret it for a second. Plus, full coils are actually easier to install. You won't need a spring compressor, and they're all usually just one piece out of the box. No need to worry about fitting the springs to the shocks properly and all that, just take em out of the box and its out with the old and in with the new

Edit: Also, if you haven't checked out the suspension review thread yet, there are some pretty good reviews in there about pretty much any setup you could imagine. Def some good info

i might just get the prokit it seems to be cheapest but still reliable...yeah ill probably want it lower but i dont think ill do it because sometimes my parents or sisters drive the car so might be a pain for them if it was really low especially for my mom she sucks at driving. I basicaly just want to reduced the huge gap so it looks better.

take a look at the tein s-techs also, they drop more in the front so it takes away from the boat look.
