I've been pondering to get ether Lowering Springs or Coilovers. I just cant make up my mind. I've never had a lowered car before and I've never driven one. What's your opinion on lowering spring vs. Coilovers.

Here at the parts I'm looking to get.

Megan Racing Lowering Springs 1.75 Inch front w/ 1.5 Inch Rear:

CX Racing Coilover Suspension Kit (Front 12kg / Rear 8kg)<-what does this mean?:

Definitely coilovers, you'll end up there later down the road either way so might as well get them first. Most people, i think, end up going with Function Form Type 1's because they are cheaper and get the job done. There is a thread on here for special pricing.

And the 12k 8k are the springs rates. The higher the number, the stiffer the springs.

If you hold onto your car long enough, you'll eventually get coilovers. Save yourself parts& labour cost and go with coils from the start (I wish I had).

By the time you are done doing it right, you are in coilover price range either way. Question is what kind of ride do you want and how low are you trying to go? In all my previous cars, I used a shock/spring setup which have a decent ride and improved handling. I think there is something to be said for shocks with dampening adjustment such as konis or illuminas matched with gc sleeves for height adjustment. That's what I plan on using since I already have the shocks, otherwise I probably would have went for coilovers. Keep in mind, if you want dampening control with coilovers, it's gonna cost a bit more.

Whatever setup you think you want, somebody here has so just ask for their review before you buy. :)
