I might try to do something like this:

The sig's are gone? TruHart coilovers now. No adbustable dampening. I had AGX & K-Sport on other cars, POINTLESS! Never want to have other fiddly-bits to mess with, again!

Yes, it will be harsher.

Wait then spend the $$. Get some springs designed for our car. If you care about ride.

The H&R I had were progressive. Light for minor bumps, then they go harsh for serious bumps.

Cheapo coilovers are straight harsh. Usually with uncontrolled strength, so always harsh, with uncalculated lengths, fit 'any' car, and 'universal' adapters, so length doesn't matter, and size doesn't matter.

Really though, the H&R Race were awsome! Safe but low ride hight, that gave you acceptable alignment, w/o camber stuff. I dd'd that thing on gravel roads for years!

You do need toget an alignment for toe.

Oh, my car now is a lot lower! Most people probly feel it rides horrible. I like the handeling, and (I checked today!) no leaks! The dampeners, or shocks, are still solid by performance and inspection.

What would you recommend? I want it slammed but still have a comfortable ride with stuff springs, I love how the car doesn't lean forward or fall back during braking and acceleration and also I have 225/50/16 on my car so I don't want to completely destroy those on my fenders or anything.

I think it was H&R Race springs I had before...
2.5" drop, perfect! They should have come stock!

I put went on stock struts @ ~130k, those died @ ~200k (!!!!) then went cheapo new aftermarket. Those went to ~220k. Then they died, so I went with the coilovers. Keep in mind, oem struts are 10x better than other ****!

+1

The HRs have been on my CG since 02. When the OEM struts failed we threw on some KYB struts, been well over 5 years now with the KYB's. Still no leaks and the ride is comfortable. Handling isn't coil over status but better than expected with lowering springs. No complaints here.

I'll prob pair them with some Koni Yellows next.
