I bought a bottle of lucas stop slip for around ten bucks and just wanted to know if anybody has tried this product. It claims to help "hard shifting" which my V6 auto loves to do. My current transmission was rebuilt about a year and a half ago and is still working alright, no slipping or gears missing, but it definitely shifts hard. Just wanted to know if anybody had any success with this stuff. Thanks.

As I learned from valve body replacements on Saturns, NEVER USE ANY additive in transmissions, No power flushing. No Lucas.

Honda ATF
Only

Besides if it's shifting hard you've got bigger problems.

Try a drain and fill.

check the two solenoids on the tranny i got a new tranny and it was still shifting hard and kinda over revving.i changed the solenoids they were 250 a piece for new ones .when they replace your tranny they just switch over the sensors. like i said it fixed my problem.

Stick to oem atf.
Also, if you drain and refill the tranny don't flush out the remaining fluid. Just a simple drain and fill is the best.

I read a TSB from Honda that says "automatic transmission fluid conditioner" is an acceptable, and recommended method for treating slipping and hard shifts for aging transmissions.
