Replacing my old main alternator belt with the new one. Its V6 3.0L engine.
Having difficulties to put on the new one, even with releasing the tensioner all the way, but still unsuccessful with putting on the new belt. It just slightly shorter, and I can't get it on. I assume the new belt is not stretched out yet, therefore it is way more difficult to put it on, unlike the used one. But I literally can't get it on
Is there any trick to do it? Maybe someone has done it before and can share the way they've done it?
Will appreciate it, cause I'm struggling with getting it done

Sorry just seeing this, hopefully you solved it. If not - I had this issue when replacing the serpentine belt on my wife's Odyssey, and after some some time, sweat, and expletives I found that I was actually not getting the right leverage on the tensioner. Between the tool I was using, the angle I was taking, and the other crap in the engine bay I was not rotating far enough to completely take advantage of how much you can really move the tensioner. I think I didn't realize I was hitting something with the tool and once I made more room I was able to get the belt on.

I did have a pair of hands up top though, while I was under the car. Sometimes that makes all the difference.

Thank you for your recommendation, @RedRyder! Yes, I was able to solved this out on my own.
And that's exactly what happened to me, everything you mentioned above! I thought I moved the tensioner all the way, but in fact I didn't. That's why I was struggling and couldn't put the belt on. The tensioner itself has a wide range of moving it.
So you have to make sure you you are using all that range and releasing the tensioner all the way.
Luckily, I figure it out by myself by re-gripping the 14mm bolt on the tensioner with the wrench, and pulling it out all the way. Therefore, I was able to place the new belt on. It still took me for like 2 hours to hustle, because I was doing it on my own. However, I will definitely recommend others to do this with 2 people (while one person pulls the tensioner above, and the other one - gets the belt on underneath the car)!Hope those advices will help others in the future, who's gonna be doing that.
Thanks again!
