Maplight Mod?

anyone figure out or done the maplight mod? where it turns on/off with the dome light? Is there a way to maybe tap into the dome light fuse so the map lights can actually be controlled by the dome light switch?
A few people including my self are wondering if this is possible and how hard it would be and if anyone has done this..searched but couldn't find much.

electrical wiring 101 shows that if you connect pos(+) wire from the dome light to the map lights...the map lights will act like the dome light as they'll be getting power whenever the dome light gets power.

Why would you need to do this...i dont know. Just add an led board to the dome light and its bright enough to make the inside feel like the sun came up.

Wire alarm system to parking lights and interior dome. You might face issues though as some alarms use the dome switch on signal as a trigger since when a door is opened it triggers the dome light to turn on.

I have Led's in already, i just think it would be nice to have them turn on and dim. and all be controlled by one switch etc

Thats what i was thinking, but do I need to fun it to the fuse, or wires for the dome. and if i do that will the map lights be controlled by the switch on the dome ? I'm not good with wiring..
