how do you guys mask the housing and stuff without peeling the chrome off ?

Blue painters tape should be easy on the chome.

Blue tape didn't work for me but I think it was cheap stuff. I bunched up silicone wrap and just tucked it in the best I could, it didn't peal at all.

Are you talking about syran wrap for food ? did any overspray get in it ?

yes syran wrap, and no over spray problems for me. it was hard to spray around it in spots because it didnt lay flat like tape would

I used blue painters tape

1st layer blue painters tape

2nd blue tape + paper

I used blue painters tape and it peeled off some chrome. Try sticking each piece of tape on the carpet or your shirt before applying it to the chrome. And don't buy high adhesion or frog tape. But most of all, dont leave the tape on any longer than you have to.

I used yellow frog tape its for delicate surfaces I found the depo lights are cheap and the chrome wipes right off the oem Stanley one seemed to be way better
