I'd like to see an up-close of the 98-00 sedan bumper again.... not sure that lip piece would go on there well.

1. I think we'd have to see the underside of both of these bumpers to actually see if the piece would fit flush on both, and if the mounting points are the same.

I feel that the piece will split the exhaust tips nicely just as it is done on the 01-02 v6's.

A 1. Ive been under my bumper when I cut the 2 original tabs that were just an eye sore (Ill try to get a pic). And If I remember correctly there is atleast 3 inches deep of space for it to be mounted.

The white sedan pictured above has a different piece. The 0102 piece sits flush with the outside of the bumper. I'll try to get under mine and take a picture. I wanna say it's held on by at least 3 bolts. Maybe 5. If I feel like it, I might even remove it and take pics to show the difference.

Yeah theres an LX I4 around town with it. And I posted the white sedan above to show those 2 tabs because I removed them cause I hated them, thought they were ugly.
