Moonroof sliding door is stiff

Hey all, all these years I have been dealing with the moonroof slide door being kinda hard to slide by hand. I am talking since day one. I thought that's how it is suppose to be and I am pretty sure it is. My brother has a CRV and his slide door feels like it is on bearings. Literally a flick of the pinky finger and it slides back. If I tried that on my 2001 4D V6 I would probably pull a muscle. I am sure the construction is different between the two vehicles but I thought I would put it out there. Any ideas to make it slide like Bambi on wet ice?

Mine isn't tough by any means in either of my cars. Actually I like that it doesn't slide back with minimal effort.

I lub'd it up and it slides like...well...like it is lub'd.

Lub is red so looks like a blood from fingers caught but it is what it is.
