I didn't care too much for the Fountain. It was very pretty though, I'll definitely give you that.

Pan's Labryinth was great. Crank, Shaolin Soccer, and the Machinist were all really good too. Some great choices in here guys!

some favorites of mine:

The Crow: action Probably my favorite movie of all time

The Green Mile: drama Very touching, rather sad, man wrongfully sent to prison

The Shawshank Redemption: drama another man wrongfully sent to prison. Not as sad as green mile

The Jacket: Drama Adrienne Brody is in an insane asylum, very good movie

Happy Endings Drama Reminded me of Crash with multiple stories coming together at the end, only in a darkly humorous kinda way.

Hard Candy Drama child seeks revenge on a child predator.

Memento: Drama Man who can't form memories must tattoo clues to solving his wife's murder so he can find the killer

My super list of great movies to see, at least those outside of the mainstream.

After The Sunset: Pierce Brosnan, Don Cheadle, Woody Harrelson. Great heist movie.

Brick: Great drama and excelent cinematography. Very intriguing story, full of twists and turns, some of the best dialogue i've ever heard in a film.

Domino: Tony Scott's dream film about a real life bounty hunter. Keira Knightly (partial nude sex scene) and Mickey Rourke.

From Hell: Murder Myster about Jack the Ripper. Johnny Depp and Heather Graham

Hard Candy: An incredibly sharp thriller about a possible pedofile on an extreme budget and time table. Excelent movie in every aspect.

Kingdom of Heaven: Based on the last successful Crusade/Jiihad over Jerusalem. Orlando Bloom, Eva Green (Casino Royale), Liam Neeson

Layer Cake: Cool British Film about drug dealers and the world around them. Starring Daniel Craig (Casino Royale)

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels: Sweet *** heist movie, lots of drugs involved, Guy Ritche's (Snatch) first major film. Starring Jason Statham, Sting

Shaun of the Dead: One of the greatest mocks of zombie films EVER!

SLC Punk: Life and Growing up in Salt Lake City as a late teen Punk Rocker in the 80's. Starring: Matthew Lillard

Snatch: 3 story lines, 20 kick *** characters, all come to a head in 15 minutes of glorious violence and murder. Bencio Del Torro, Vinnie Jones, Dennis Farina, Jason Statham and many more.

Enjoy

ewww negative on domino. I wanted my lost time back after seeing that movie. quite possibly one of the worst movies ever, and I like keira knightley.

+1 for equilibirum, boondock saints, the crow (RIP brandon lee), and man on fire.

also suicide kings (with christopher walken) is pretty good. plot: group of 4 guys kidnap a mobster in order to make him help them find one of the guy's kidnapped sister.

I agree with you on domino, I thought it a big waste of time. Didnt much care for equilibrium either.

Suicide Kings and Donnie Darko are great movies!

i saw a new release at blockbuster last night called "Otis"...apparently this guy goes around kidnapping young girls and making them pretend to be his highschool girlfriend....but this one girl's family turns the tables at the end and it is pretty entertaining...

The Mist... not a big fan of the "aliens attack" movies, but the ending was so twisted it made me sick to my stomach and became an instant hit for me.

American History X Didn't see it listed, one of my favorites. Edward Norton wrote someof it and is ripped as hell in the film.

Festen aka The Celebration. Artsy film made by Dogma 95. Great plot.

Farce of the Penguins All out funny voice-overs of "educational" penguin footage by popular comedians. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson.

Idiocracy Fast forward the US a few hundred years and see how ignorant we've become.

Fight Club

Requiem for a Dream
