is it a LX or ex or se, my ex 4cyl doesn't have a rev limiter that i have hit yet i got to 140ish maybe 145 car never shut down i heard the lx have rev limiters
rev limiters are not ex, lx specific. i know my 98 i4 auto had a rev limiter....idk about my 99 i4 5mt, cuz ive never dipped it into the redline....cuz its really pointless since theres no power there anyway, haha. but im pretty sure all the autos would have limiters, idk about the 5 speeds.
My 01 EX (4cy manual) didnt want to go above 190km/h. (on 18" wheels)
I dont care, 170km/h is plenty fast for me. What really matters is how fast it accelerates, how fast i can take a tight curve on twisty roads, and how hard it will brake to keep me from running into a f*cking deer

I'm lost, are you guys talking about speed governors or rev limiters? lol.
yes, the 4 Cyl manuals does have rev limiter, and I'm pretty sure there is a governor in our cars limiting the speed. I don't know because I've never been to 180 kph before.
