Well, its more of a question then anything. Before the guy started he told me that the back window might look like **** because of all those little dots on the back window, so I was like "alright, lets see how it looks when its done"

To be totally honest it looks like ****, only 1/2 is stuck to the window, and the other 1/2 is all spotty.

My question was, I see alot of accords around here and they're tinted, and they look awsommee, Did y'all take the spotty look, or did you get it cut to match one of those orange lines on the back of the windows..?

Awaiting comments.

mine stuck on fine, its not too dotty. but what alot of guys will get done is a vynal strip across the top of the back window on the outside of the window, so it covers up those dots.

when I got it tinted I requested a black vinyl strip. so up to where the dot matrix starts is tint, and from there up the guy threw a strip of vinyl inside the top of the window. it was an extra $20 but i wanted it to look good

I'm gonna have to do that then, Although my car is white, so I mean the tint is 20%, would a vinyl strip look bad since its a consistant black?

I want my tint to look good, but as it is right now.. Looks bad from the back.

the guy i went to did it w.o me asking its a black vinyl sticker thats accross the top about 8inches in width inside the car.. from the outside you cant tell the difference i have 15% on the rear window.. so i dont think urs will look bad

it takes a little time to get used to looking @ it in the rearview.. but i love it caz i see the cars where the tint didnt stick and laugh inside

I'll be doing that today when I get some time, that looks awsome from the outside, but your right, that would take some time getting use to only having like 1/2 your rear window.

Thanks for the pics to show me by the way!

A REALLY good tint shop can tint over the dot matrix with no problems. The girl I bought my car from had it tinted allmost from day one, not a single problm with it being over the matrix.

I know the guy who did my tint, and I was in the shop while they were doin' it, they went to the extent of actually getting a blow-torch and trying to make it stick like that. Basically they tried everything in the book to get this crap to work. The other way that I've seen is to scrape off the dots on the back of the car, kinda like sanding glass, he told me that it would work, but it would most likely mess up the glass, so I was like "F that"

The vinyl is a good alternative for me, looks good, doesn't really have any downfalls except for the small amount of viewing range in the back.

Good thing the dot matrix is only an inch long on the sedan. I believe the coupe have a much larger dot matrix area.
