What's up. I am a former 300zx owner until my engine threw a rod last week and I'm looking into getting a '98-'99 accord sedan. I've been browsing the forums for a couple of days now and I will continue browsing.

Also FYI I plan on searching before posting unlike many n00bs. I am a supermod of www.300zxclub.com, www.zmods.org, and admin at http://empirez.com/forum. So I am no n00b to forums.

If I get the car I'm looking at my first mods will be a sound system that is SQ oriented and not SPL. I don't like bleeding from my ears. Then I will move onto bpu of intake headers and exhaust then body. I don't plan to go to crazy with this car cause it will be my DD and I plan on getting another Z32 (90=96 300ZX) again someday as a weekend car.

And lastly I am 6'8". Seriously.

welcome man. Hope you enjoy your stay. DD is the accords specialty. I would recommend finding a 5 speed drving the slushbox auto, is painfully boring, especially coming from a TT 300zx. For a DD I say drop, wheels, lip kit, and a system. IF you want a little more pep, I say intake header exhaustwill suffice and maybe a jet ecu and thatl get you into the 15's

Unfortunatly I never had a TTZ, but I was planning on swapping motors and had started collecting parts for it. I had a motor, injectors, intercoolers, etc sitting in my garage, but I needed to do a full rebuild of the motor.

The 6th gen I'm looking at is my wife's aunt's who is supposed to be getting a brand new accord and will sell us her current one for whatever the dealer is willing to give her for trade-in. It is a champagne 5 spd 4 cylinder LX. I know the car has over 100k miles, but I know how anal my aunt is and she always takes care of her cars very well. I'm pretty sure the clutch was just replaced about 7k miles ago.

stay away from the v6's, youll pay more for trannies then you would for your 300zx motor. so just try to get a 5 speed 4 banger. no 6th gen v6's came in manual.

Welcome to the site. If you get a V6 make sure you get a tranny cooler and pray you have a good tranny.
If you get a 4cyl, make sure you get a manual tranny. You'll miss the torque the V6 offers, but a manual 4cyl is just as quick. (which has been proven many times)

welcome to the site, I've always been a fan of the 300z. I'm a member on 300zxclub, I've come real close to buying one, but funds came into play.
good luck with the 6th gen accord, they are a super reliable DD and with a few mods they are pretty fun.

Werd, welcome to the forums bro. Hope to hear more about your plans about your "future" accord. And I know all of us feel this, but we look forward to your stay once you find an accord ;)
