I was thinking about lowering my car, but the speed bumps in my neighborhood may scrape the bumper of my car. any recommendations on how far to lower it without scraping. My suspension now is fully stock by the way.

For a while I found 2" to give a decent drop and also easy to live with. But I'd recommend suspension that has flexibility in case you go lower in the future. Changing setups is expensive.

Please search on this topic, lots of info, reviews and experience here.

I just swapped in some new eibach sportlines with a 2" drop all the way around. Looks nice. Just be warned you will have a slight boat look unless you also get shocks with adjustable perches.

At 2" drop the ride still looks pretty aggressive but I have no problems with speed bumps or potholes, and if a driveway is steep I usually can go diagonally and be fine. I RARELY scrap at a 2" drop so you'd be good I think.

If not, play it safe and go with eibach pro kit with 1.5" drop all around, you'd forsure be fine then.

Or just get coilovers....

Here's a phone shot of my car the other day dropped on the new sportlines at 2 inches. Still on Tokico Struts so boat look but Konig yellows on the way.

IMHO it's just right. You're still gonna have about a 2 or 3 finger gap in the front with 17s though which I don't like. That's why you need the perches....

Hope I helped

I am on Koni Yellows and Sporlines.

SOME speed bumps are an issue, but you just have to avoid those, if you can, or go at them on an angle.

You are bound to scrape on something, unless you aren't lowered much at all, but once you reach the 2"+ lower mark, you will have issues.

I have the H&R lowering springs, cant remember if they were the sport or race series. Also running KYBs. The ride is great (similar to stock) with some speed bumps causing issues but nothing too unmanageable. I recommend H&R, but my next struts will be ones with adjustable sleeves. I am right around a 2" drop on all four corners.
