where's the choice for just going coilovers? a good set of shocks and springs is going to set you back as much as, say, the Tein Basics anyway, so why bother?

I have the springs that I want I just need new struts. I have a set of sleeves on my Civic and I dont really want to go thru the hassles of coilovers again. I dont need to raise my car up or make it lower for any reason that is why I am on my third set of springs and i found the set I am sticking with.

You dont have to run out and buy expensive full coilover setups like that. If you are just looking to drop your car. And do it reasonably cheap. Just get some coilovers of Ebay. The only thing really pertinent is your strut. I have Tokico HP. I have put over 30,000 on them. And they are still good. No leaks. None broke yet. My struts cost me about $250 and my coilovers were only about $40. Now if you are going for show or bragging rights. Then go ahead and spend $500 or $600(maybe more) on a full coilover setup. But just know you dont have to spend that much. I had Ground Control coilovers. They cost me about $320. Sold them because they didnt drop me enough. Got some cheap ones. And Im loving life with em. The ride is a little bit stiffer. But thats only because they dropped me 2" lower than my Ground Control coilovers did.

If your car is lowered or your planning on lowering then DON"T go with GR-2's. They are a factory subsitute and offer no real performance upgrade. Tokico HP are pretty much the same price as stock so don't stock. I'd go with tokico HP instead if you wanter a cheaper solution, if you have money then the illuminas are a good choice. also one option i didn't se what KYB AGX, much better then GR-2's. anyways goodluck

I have driven over 60000 on my hp's and they are great. The ride is night and day from stock. I agree with what the other guys said. If you are going fo bragging rights than go with the koni yellows. If I were going that right than you might as well get full coilovers for 200 bucks more. I say if you dont wanna break the bank than get the hps and you will be satisfied.
