Will I be ok with 215/45's.... or should I go with 215/40's...the fitment calculator says yes to both, but that is based off the stock wheel for a comparison, without any drop at all. Im thinking Id rather have a little more sidewall in the 215/45 if I can get away with it. Id rather not have to roll or pull any fenders.

215/40-18 to 215/45-18 will lead to a difference of about 1cm on the sidewall.
Go with whichever one you can find the tires you want to get cheaper in.

Also good pickup on the lugs; i prefer those over the aluminum ones any day.

I can pick up 4 NEW 215/45-18 FALKEN 912 's delivered for $520 off ebay. I can get them mounted through my contacts at work for a minimal charge. Seems like a fair price from the research I did.

Check out tire rack as well if you'd like
215/40ZR18 XL Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 for $456.00 after rebate + $52.60 to you. = 508.6

I only say it as i have falken 912s right now (for the past 2 summers) and i dont know if its me but they're wearing down way too fast, especially as i have seperate winter tires.

If you are running 18's, I would go with a 40 profile.

Not that you can't run the 45 profile tire, but to keep the wheels as close to OEM spec as possible, the 40 would be better.

Received the 18 inch Tenzos from LSD motorsports in Cali and 215/45's Hankooks from Tire Rack yesterday. I had them mounted up and balanced at Tire Kingdom here in FL. Only cost me $57 to mount and balance all four, I thought that was very fair. Bolted em onto the Accord today and drove about 60 miles. I noticed a huge improvement in handling. Im assuming its from the lower profile tires.

The coilovers are supposed to be here in a week or so, I'm looking forward to installing them, because right now, this think looks like a 4x4 boat.:eh:

Lower profile + wider wheel.

Always been curious to see what these M3 style wheels would look like on our cars.
