I'm not sure why she was planning on junking it? Too much trouble I guess. It did have a few mechanical issues that are minor to anyone that knows about cars, but aren't exactly minor to most. She brought it to a mechanic and got quotes, and plus the SRS light was on and it failed safety inspection because of it, and she got quoted $600 to have it diagnosed and have the light reset. So apparently she just bought a new car, and just wanted to get rid of it. She posted it on Craigslist originally as a "fixer upper" for $500. I wrote her and told her I was interested, and she said if I could come up with $300 cash that the junkyard offered, and picked it up ASAP, it was mine. Most of the issues were pretty basic, and I've already taken care of most of them, and my buddy is a mechanic at the local Honda dealer, so he checked out the SRS and reset it for me for nothing. Anyway, for $300 (even the $500 she was originally asking), it was too hard to pass up. Best deal I'll probably ever get lol.
