So here is the story, my alternator went out and I had to change it and recharge my battery and then when everything was fixed my radio stopped working. I changed the fuse and it still won't turn on so I bought a new head unit, an aftermarket head unit but it still won't work. When I used the OEM stock radio there was power in the unit but it wouldn't turn on, the same with the aftermarket head unit. It would vibrate but it won't turn on. Please help.

Check all your fuses. The problem is the switched ignition wire is not providing power.

You can verify this by jumping the yellow wire to the red wire, but don't do this if you have no idea what I mean because you can blow up multiple things if you do.

If I was in your position, I would just take it to a radio shop where they can test the wires. Sounds like either you blew a wire or something isn't hooked up right.
