No speedo or vtec after swap, did the wiring!?!?

Okay so here it goes...

I have done all the three different ways in the diy section to try and wire up my speedo/vtec. BUT no luck wither way :-( I am assuming at this point that its a bad vss sensor, BUT since I dont have the $100+ to get one yet, I would like to test it first. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to test the VSS? I have the VSS out if it helps.

BTW... the trans, computer, etc... is from a 98 accord, and my car is an 01'

What kind of swap did you do? Auto to manual? Engine and tranny swap? Details are key

Good point lol I did a auto to manual swap. The manual came from a 98 5spd, and went into a 01.

If u swapped the ecu then check ur vtec I had the same problem and fix it today...

I'm pretty sure that won't effect the spedo. That's just gonna be limp mode i think.
See if you can get a cheap VSS from a junkyard. I'm thinking you're probably right that it's gone bad if you know for sure that you were doing the DIYs correctly. Otherwise go through all of the wires and make sure there is a solid connection. Oh, and check your fuses.
