ive been reading aorund this thread category and have come to the conclusion that i KKNOW NOTHING.. wen i got my accord last april i bought it some rims, a nice set of konig laces i dont like the rims anymore and i bought them as a combo with regular sized tires (no low pro) big mistake... ever since then my car would rub on bumps or when i had ppl in the back seat and i turned the corner.. Im currently deployed in iraq and im making a little more money.. money that i can put into my car so i started looking into coil overs and camber kits an it came out fine and dandy i know exactly what kind im getting and everything then i decided to look into rims i thought it was just pick a set and goo... NOOOOO! now im reading about spacers? offset? tire number 25/23/65/ (<made those up)

im not looking to be spoon fed like a typical noob but i honestly dont know siht! I TRIED TO READ UP ON THESE THINGS BUT I ONLY GET MORE CONFUSED CUZ PPL DONT JUST EXPLAIN THE BASICS THEY JUST TALK ABOUT SPECIFICS TO OTHER SENIOR MEMBERS =[

PLEASE HELP

225/40/R18. First number = width in mm of tread from side to side. Second number is the profile size in this scenario the sidewall us 40% as wide as 225. The "R" means the tire has a set if radial steel bands running the circumference and the 18 is the size of the rims in inches.

also i dont know if i remember correctly but one of those sites will also let you see a selection of wheels (somewhere around 100 options) and what they will look like on your car. And it will give you all the size options for your car.. ex: if you go to a 17inch wheel or 18 it will tell you the correct size for your car.. thank you for serving our country :) ..
