Ok so last night i put in tein S-tech lowering springs on my 98 accord coupe and it all went pretty smoothly, but when i drove it i noticed over bumps its making a pretty load clunk noise, almost sounds like something is loose but i re checked and everything was tight, so im not sure on what the noise could possible be. maybe because i have stock struts on aftermarket lowering springs? i know its dumb but im sick of stock ride height and i get tires free so why not? any help would be nice

Thanks!!

did you check the nuts under the windshield wipers for the OEM strut braces?...if you loosened those sometimes they loosen up after a couple miles....

ya i dunno what it is my Cv boot has a tear but it shouldnt be causing that noise. it almost sound like something is rubbing but i checked that it seems fine. ohh and my rear is clunking quite a bit i dunno. im just gunna order a full coilover kit and redo all the bushings and such i think.

I i'm the same situation JDM....I'm not sure what the problem could be. I had everything rechecked and it seems fine. My cv boot also has a tear and I actually just got back from buying a brand new one. I will be replacing it on monday so i'll let you guys know if that fixes the clunking sound. Hope it does...if it doesn't I will end up changing my suspension as well.

I didn't do anything to my stock 99 EX I4 and it clunks/knocks really badly over broken pavement.

Only in the front. Is something loose or what? I've never had suspension stuff fail on a honda. My 86 Accord had 290k miles almost, stock.
