01 v6 coupe.
06 Civic Si 17x7 +45 wheels.

Ive heard that I could run 5mm spacers up front all day and have plenty of thread for the lugs. Is this true?

Could I run 5mm spacers on the rear and be fine as well?

My other option is to shave the caliper brackets on the front. Not that big of a deal but Im not sure if it's something I want to do.

Mikey, you still don't want to run anything bigger than a 5mm spacer, huh?

The Civic wheels look okay, I think there is a pic or two of someone with them on here, but a 10mm spacer would really make those wheels sit alot better on the car.

I was hesitant to put extended studs on my last car and they proved me right. Hence my even bigger hesitation for this car. Plus, that means either extended lugs, which are cool cuz I can accessorize but, in the winter, i'll have to switch back to OEM lugs and that just looks goofy, lol.

PLUS, im not lowered at all, and flush wheels would look weird IMO. I'll see how they look on 5mm and if i really like them, then i'll see about extended studs and 10mm if/when i go lower.

Hope you get a good price on those 10mm spacers that you'll end up buying!

Lol. We'll see. I'm in "the industry" so i probably could get a good deal on them actually. I'll worry about that next summer. ;)

Extended studs are easy to deal with but...

I would definitely recommend V2 Ichiba spacers I've used them and have 20 mm ones on rear however I went ahead and replaced the studs as well. I've got a set of 10s (the V1s) as well. I never needed extended lugs bc if you do the mm math on the studs you shouldn't have a lot extra stud length

Ichiba ftw.
