Opinions on spacers

If the car is not dropped at all, yes. If you think about it, a 50 profile is needed to keep your overall factory diameter (thus keeping your speedo/odo accurate). You would be decreasing that overall diameter, thus increasing your wheel gap. I've seen a few cars that have done this, and the wheels just look too small imo.

if you want the drop to look legit, you want the thinner tire i.e. 45's.

with the 50's it could still make the tires look too chunky even if you've stuffed the wheels up into the wheel well as much as you can.

Though I was hoping Tyler had found a secret way of running giant spacers on stock studs.

And that's just it. I dont want my tires to look "chunky". Drop or not. Ive seen 195/50/15 and a 205/55/15, on the same rim, and the 195/50 is what I preferred. The 205 looked like a balloon. This, however, is minute. This is 45-series versus 50-series. There's a .8" height difference and $16 price difference.

Ideally, I'd go with the 45, but something keeps telling me to either hold off or, maybe, get the 50s. Im undecided at the moment.

yeah but that's also on a 15 inch wheel dude

you gotta remember you're stepping up to 17's, and they take up more space, so you gotta compensate.

The 50s, as Chris said, would keep my overal diameter near OEM diameter. Everything Ive looked at has said that I should go with the 50.

yeah if you wanted to have the oem diameter then yes you should go with that.

True. But look at Chirs' car. He's on the same setup I want, and he still has a minor gap, on 18s. His gap is fitting, for those wheels. I dont think I'll ever go any bigger than the 17s, so I think I'll be ok.
