Alright guys...I'm having major issues with my car overheating. I can't spot any apparent leaks and I just replaced the thermostat. Brand new radiator and radiator hoses and the water pump was changed just a year ago. I was told by somebody the water pump usually leaks when its out as well and i don't see any leakage. The car has overheated a few times due to a bad radiator cap and I was wondering if it could have caused the water pump to go out again. Before I replace the pump I definitely wanna know that its out. I was also told that my head gasket being blown could also be causing overheating. How do I know if my head gasket is blown? Any suggestions? I don't see any leaks...my coolant just disappears and the car starts overheating. Fans seem to be working fine to. Suggestions please? I'm really trying to avoid having to replace the head gasket...its gonna cause a **** ton to have it done and get everything machined.

It would be the head gasket IF white smoke is coming out of your exhaust. If not it's something else. My engine was overheating once but due to a bad thermostat. Have them check the radiator even though it's new because sometimes defects do make it to the shelves and into people's cars.

I was told to pull the thermostat out and run it without a thermostat and see if it still overheats. If it continues to overheat then its most likely the head gasket. No white smoke other than the time i seafoamed ;). Love that stuff...Engine runs like new. Anyways...So white smoke should be coming out exhaust for sure if theres a gasket tear?

I used Honda OE part from the dealership. I get a 25% discount in their parts store. I'm fidgeting and tempted to buy this rebuilt/resealed head off ebay for 220$ :p If my head was warped I'd probably know it though...

I'll be on AIM: SexyPersianDude if anyone would like to help me out some more. I'd appreciate all the help I can get.
