Passenger door doesn't lock.

So my passenger doesnt lock you have to manually push down the lock. Stopped working after someone pulled the lock up before the could be unlocked..

It wants to lock put makes a buzzing sound like the actuator "wanting " to pull the lock mechanism down.

Would it just be the actuator mechanism i need to replace.

Disconect link at actuator,

Is link sticky? Clean/lube (brake cleaner rag then chain lube)

Actuator move when you hit button? Yes, clean. No, clean.

Now move? Yes, fixed, refit. No, get new one, refit.

When you click the button it'll want to pull the lock mechanism on the door down but not all the way down like normal.

Im just gonna replace the actuator mechanism out for a new one.

use multimeter to check for voltage coming out of switch. if no voltage=bad switch. also check actuator like XCI said.

The switch works but when you want to lock it,it make buzzing locking and unlocking.

New then, only way to get a quiet one.
